Personal liability insurance for expats in Thailand

Many traditional liability policies require a residence in Germany. Anyone who lives in Thailand for a longer period therefore needs a solution that also works without a German residence. Our expat liability insurance protects you even then.

Good to know: Thailand

  • According to the Royal Thai Embassy in The Hague, the Non-Immigrant O-A visa requires a minimum age of 50 and permits a stay of one year from the date of first entry. Check the details with the embassy responsible for you before applying.[1]
  • For the LTR visa in the Wealthy Pensioners category, the Board of Investment requires health insurance covering the entire stay with at least USD 50,000 for hospitalisation and medical treatment.[2]

Our offer for you

Many traditional liability policies offer limited cover abroad, but require the policyholder to still have a residence in Germany. This is exactly where our solution comes in: our expat liability insurance protects you even if you already live abroad and no longer have a residence in Germany. A German correspondence address is not required either.

Within Europe, cover is unlimited in time. For countries outside Europe, cover applies for up to five years, with the option to extend it for a further five years.

Note: This expat liability insurance is an offer from our selected partners. We do not act as an insurer ourselves, but pass your enquiry on directly and without fuss to our partners.
